Digital nomads hold residence title «Ζ.1» under Article 68, which sits in Part C, whose general-provisions chapter is headed 'Προσωρινή διαμονή' (temporary residence, Article 67). Article 143(2)(e) excludes holders of a temporary residence status from the long-term-resident chapter, and Article 144(2) states that those periods 'δεν λαμβάνονται υπόψη' — are not taken into account — when computing the five years for long-term resident status (permit type «Μ1»). By contrast the same paragraph counts study and vocational training at half, so the exclusion of nomad time is deliberate, not an oversight. Greek naturalisation (7 years) runs under the separate Citizenship Code, but the residence ladder to it starts elsewhere.
