Notes

Piloted from 2024 and officially launched on 30 June 2026. For remote workers employed by, or contracting with, companies outside Korea. The income test is tiered: applicants aged 35+ living in Seoul, Incheon or Gyeonggi must show roughly twice Korea's GNI per capita (about US$66,000/year), while younger applicants and those settling in non-metropolitan or population-decline regions face a relaxed test of one to two times GNI. Valid one year and extendable to two. It is explicitly a stay category — it does not lead to permanent residence.
