Notes

The Immigrant Investor Scheme for Public Business (IISPB): place KRW 500,000,000 (about US$375,000) into a designated principal-guaranteed, zero-interest public fund to obtain F-2 residence, leading to F-5 permanent residency once the holding period is met. A higher tier of KRW 1,500,000,000 (about US$1.1M) can grant F-5 permanent residency immediately. Unlike the D-8 this is genuinely passive — no company to run and no employees — but you forgo interest for the term. Korea does not generally permit dual citizenship for adults.
