Launched July 2024 and the most accessible option in this list. No monthly income test — instead a liquid bank balance of THB 500,000 (about US$14,500). Valid five years, allowing stays of up to 180 days per entry, extendable once. Covers remote workers and freelancers as well as 'soft power' activities such as Muay Thai or culinary courses. Because it is a visa rather than a residence permit, it builds toward nothing — but for cost and flexibility it is unmatched. Staying 180+ days in a tax year can make you Thai tax resident.
